Integrations
Most teams don't call Hindsight directly. They add memory to the agent framework or AI tool they already use with a pre-built integration. Integrations handle retaining and recalling for you, usually with a few lines of configuration, so your agent starts remembering without you writing memory code.
What's available
There are integrations for coding agents, agent frameworks, AI tools and automation platforms, including:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Coding agents | Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cline, Aider, Roo Code, Continue, Zed, OpenHands |
| Agent frameworks | LangGraph / LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, Pydantic AI, LlamaIndex, Google ADK, Vercel AI SDK, Strands Agents, AutoGen / AG2, Agno, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Microsoft Agent Framework, Haystack, smolagents, elizaOS, LiteLLM |
| AI tools and assistants | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Hermes, OpenClaw, Obsidian, Pipecat, Vapi |
| Automation platforms | n8n, Zapier, Dify, Flowise, Composio |
The integrations directory has the full, current list, with a setup guide for each one.
Connecting an integration
Integrations work with Hindsight Enterprise the same way they work with Hindsight Cloud. To set one up:
- Create an API key in your deployment's console. A bank-scoped key is a good choice for an integration that should only reach one bank.
- Follow the integration's setup guide, and give it your key, usually as the
HINDSIGHT_API_KEYenvironment variable or anapi_keysetting. - Point it at your deployment. Integrations default to the Hindsight Cloud endpoint, so on a
dedicated deployment set the API URL to your deployment's, usually with the
HINDSIGHT_API_URLenvironment variable or the integration's API URL setting. See Accessing your deployment. If you use Hindsight Cloud with Enterprise features, keep the default. - Choose the memory bank it should use. Banks are created automatically on first use.
Integrations call the same API as everything else, so their memories are metered like any other retain or recall, and they show up in the bank like memories from any other source.
When there's no integration
- AI clients that support MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf and others) can connect directly to Hindsight's MCP server. See MCP Integration.
- Your own application or agent can use the Python SDK, the TypeScript SDK, or the REST API.
